Profile
My sporting career has seen me representing Great Britain for white water canoe racing and playing
cricket at county level. I’m currently playing rugby, jujitsu and canoeing … and love to have a go
at anything new that comes along!
My study of the body started at Glasgow University with a degree in
Physiology - which included a good portion specific to sport and exercise. Whilst training and
competing in my sport (white water canoeing) I studied to be a Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist.
Since 2002 I've worked in several top health clubs around London and ran a Sports Injury clinic in
Surrey.
Why Personal Training
I'm passionate about exercise and the huge benefits that an active life provides. The body is a
dynamic machine that is built to move - I like to train people to be functionally fit by concentrating
on integrating the entire system.
I see my job as a combination of several key points:
- designing specific programmes to meet your individual goals.
- passing my knowledge on to you so you can learn about your body and design your training in the future.
- passing my enthusiasm on to you and helping to motivate you through those sticking points that we all have.
- having a blast and making training fun.
